Anri Rock A Bye Baby Girl Knitting Rocking Cradle Italy Figurine Wood Carving - ANRI figurine
She is about 5.5" tall and in great shape. I love that she is rocking the baby with her foot. The bird is sitting on the side of the cradle and looks to be singing. The base has the Anri metal tag. Marked Ferrandiz on the back of the base of the figurine.
Juan Ferrandiz, born and raised in Barcelona, gained recognition across Europe for his drawings and paintings. He studied art in his hometown, later becoming an art professor, and dedicated himself to creating figures inspired by his fondness for childhood themes. He is particularly well-known for his illustrations of children's fables and poems, and his name is closely tied to his unique and original Christmas cards, which reflect his distinct artistic personality.
Ferrandiz's international acclaim largely stemmed from his collaboration with ANRI, which brought many of his designs to life as wooden sculptures. The partnership began in 1969, and throughout his career, Ferrandiz’s creations inspired ANRI’s master carvers to continually produce new works based on his ideas.
