These pugs are so unique! They were popular around the late 1800's and early 1900's for the mantel. They are not marked, but I would believe they are Dresden made. Country of origin is Germany. They have expressive faces and detailed bodies. They have gold detailed collars, but the gold was cold painted. Cold painting happens after the firing of the porcelain so often this paint will wear with time. These two are a pair sold together. They are 4.5" tall and about 2.5" wide. They are in great condition for their age with no chips or cracks.
