Ucagco Norleans "Pretty Girl" Lady Head Vase, head vase 7.5"

This gorgeous lady head vase is one of the collection called Pretty Girls by Ucagco Norleans

7 1/2" tall. Great vintage condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. She has some crazing and a few little spots flecks of pottery that are tiny imperfections on one side photographed- not chipped, but more of a tiny bit of pottery that wasn't smooth and then was finished with glaze and paint resulting in just a tiny imperfection. Her lips are missing a spot of paint and are not perfectly smooth- perhaps someone worked on them at one time. Eyelashes are original and in good shape- the right lash looks to have the faintest shine to it on the underside in one spot which sometimes can signify a touchup with paint...but looks great!

Beautiful lady with a white dress with soft pink details. She wears a crinkly bonnet and ruffled dress trimmed in gold and pale pink. Found on 2004 Barron's Collecting Head Vase book on page 67, valued at $400.

The label on bottom remains.

Interesting info on Ucagco the maker of this lady: "The United China and Glass Company (UCAGCO) was based in New Orleans and New York. Ucagco was primarily creator and distributor of dinnerware and glassware and were the distributor of many Japanese china patterns during the early 1950's. UCAGCO dates back to 1850 and was founded by Abe Mayer."

The majority of the items in my shop are vintage or antique, e.g., have been used.Vintage and antique items by their very nature have some wear, imperfections, and signs of age/time. This is what gives them their character, charm, and collectability. Please examine the photos carefully for any flaws that I may have missed in my description. My photos are considered part of the item’s description. I define vintage as 20+ years old and vintage indicates age.  Also, please feel free to message for more photos and or details.
