Antique Campbell Jones #83 Diamond Cut Square Fine Cut Amber Glass Cake Stand
A cake stand as gorgeous as they come, its multifaceted design brilliantly reflecting the light like hundreds of diamonds off its amber colored glass.
Made circa 1883 by Campbell Jones, the rare color of this Early American Pattern Glass stand in a “square fine cut” or “diamond cut” pattern (#83) makes it a particular treat to come by! Even better, it is in good vintage condition! No imperfections that I can find to the top. There is one chipped diamond peak on the underside of the top and there are a few small chips in the underside of the pedestal base. Otherwise simply stunning!
The top has approximately 1/4” high sides to keep food from sliding off. All the faceted areas are on the undersides of the top and foot for ease of cleaning. There is an approximately 1” diameter area that is concave at the very center of the top (the underside of which is where the mostly hollow stem reaches the cake plate’s top) which is part of the manufacture.

Base of foot: 4 1/5” wide x 4 1/5” long (square), 5 1/16” diagonally beveled corner to corner.
