This sweet vintage McCoy cookie jar's design is known as Blushing Apple. It stands about 8" tall with the lid on, and about7 1/2" across. The opening is 4 3/4". This piece has shiny yellow, pink, brown and green glaze and hand-painted details.
This jar was most likely made in the 1950s or 1960s. This cookie jar is in good vintage condition, with some wear, a chip on the leaf edge and a few chip like spots or manufacturing flaws on the base- doesn’t bother the appearance or how it sits at all. Please see all photos- staining inside the base and on the bottom crazing.McCoy USA is there but you can only really make out the o and y and if you know where to look.
This cookie jar makes a great addition to a McCoy collection and looks great holding cookies in the kitchen.
