Roseville Falline Brown 1933 Vintage Art Pottery Ceramic Handled Vase 642-6
This is a beautiful mold, color and glaze on this vintage Roseville piece. There was one repair to one handle and one possibly imperfect spot at the base, but it was professionally done for the repair at the handle and nearly impossible to detect! Vase is about 6 1/4" tall and 6 1/4" wide. Please note other vases are shown in the background- these are also listed at the time of posting, but this listing is only for the one described and shown close up.
Roseville Pottery was founded in Roseville, Ohio, in 1890. As the company grew, it broadened its offerings to include a variety of decorative wares. By the early 20th century, Roseville had shifted its emphasis to finely crafted art pottery, influenced by the rising popularity of the Arts and Crafts movement. The company ceased operations in 1954, primarily due to evolving consumer preferences and increased competition from mass-produced ceramics. Nevertheless, Roseville pottery remains highly collectible today, admired for its historical importance, artistic quality, and diverse range of forms and patterns. Collectors especially value the floral themes and refined aesthetics, with mid-period lines like Sunflower, Blackberry, Futura, Wisteria, and Baneda being particularly prized. These qualities continue to cement Roseville Pottery’s place in the world of American art pottery collecting.
