This vase is one that just acts as a solo showstopper! It is stunning. It is unusual to see black but then with the birds it gets even better! It is in good shape with no cracks or chips. There is some wear to the paint but overall a great vase. About 10" tall and the opening is about 3" diameter- the widest point almost 5.5" across. This vase is stamped made in Japan and handpainted on the base. The style of this vase is called Tokanabe Ware. Tokanabe was mold-pressed pottery, made in Japan for the US market in the 1920s and 30s
